2 Children Transported To Hospital After Car Accident Near Buckeye
BUCKEYE, AZ –
According to local reports, two children were hospitalized following an accident near S Perryville Rd and W Yuma Rd on Wednesday morning.
Many Yuma Road intersections are notorious for being dangerous.
The incident occurred around 7 a.m. when two cars collided. The force of the impact sent one of the vehicles, a red SUV, crashing into a nearby canal. Emergency rescue crews quickly responded to the scene and transported two children from the SUV to a local hospital as a precautionary measure. Their injuries were not specified, but the transport was deemed necessary for their safety and well-being.
In the aftermath of the initial collision, a secondary accident occurred in the same vicinity. A motorcyclist collided with the rear end of another vehicle. Rescue teams also responded to this second crash and transported the motorcyclist to a nearby hospital. Fortunately, the injuries sustained in this incident were reported to be non-life-threatening. Sadly Buckeye has seen more and more accidents in recent years.
The Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office has launched an investigation into both accidents to determine the causes and any potential contributing factors. The investigation aims to provide clarity on the circumstances leading to the collisions and ensure that any necessary measures are taken to prevent similar incidents in the future. The authorities have not yet released further details regarding the investigation’s progress or any potential charges related to the accidents.
Local residents are reminded to exercise caution when driving, especially during the early morning hours when visibility can be reduced and traffic patterns are often more congested.
