According to ADOT, a vehicle crash turned deadly around 3pm on March 28th on Southbouth Interstate 17 near Loop 303 junction in North Phoenix.
The fatal rollover crash caused major delays and a closure of the I-17 for a few hours.
According to reports, a vehicle struck the center barrier which caused it to rollover and tons of debris that spread to multiple lanes causing more roadway delays.
Traffic was then safely directed to the off-ramp at Loop 303 and Sonoran Desert Drive.
Two people were inside the motor vehicle and sadly one was killed.
No names have been released in this ongoing investigation, and our hearts go out to the families invovled.
The Department of Public Safety is investigating the crash, and as always we stress that drivers need to slow down and follow all the rules on the roads and highways here in Phoenix.
