Fatal Three Car Accident in Avondale Near Glenhurst

AVONDALE, AZ –

A tragic three-vehicle collision occurred near South 113th Avenue and West Buckeye Road on Saturday morning, resulting in the death of one individual, as reported by AZFamily. 113 has some notorious dangerous intersections.

The incident took place around 6:30 a.m. when two westbound drivers on Buckeye Road were traveling at high speeds. They veered into oncoming traffic and collided with an eastbound vehicle. The crash led to significant disruptions in the area.

Emergency responders promptly arrived at the scene and transported Stephen Stevens, 20, along with another man from one of the wrong-way vehicles, to a nearby hospital. Unfortunately, Stevens succumbed to his injuries, while the other man remains hospitalized, receiving medical care.

Authorities closed off the area to thoroughly investigate and process the accident scene. The road was reopened later that same morning after the initial investigation was completed.
