Major Crash on US 60 in Sun City Results in Serious Injuries

SUN CITY, AZ –

A serious three-vehicle collision occurred at the intersection of US 60 and N 113th Ave early Monday morning, resulting in at least one person sustaining significant injuries.

The accident took place in the eastbound lanes of US 60 around 8 a.m.

Emergency responders swiftly arrived at the scene, and at least one individual was transported to a nearby hospital for treatment of serious injuries. North 113th Ave is known for many other dangerous intersections including N 113th Ave and Hazelwood. 

In response to the crash, authorities closed US 60 in both directions to allow for a thorough investigation and to clear the wreckage.

This closure caused significant traffic disruptions but was necessary to ensure the safety of both the rescue teams and other drivers.

The highway was reopened approximately three hours later, around 11 a.m., once the investigation at the scene was completed and it was deemed safe for traffic to resume.
