Teen Driver Fatally Strikes Man in Goodyear Arizona Accident

GOODYEAR, AZ –

A tragic accident occurred on Monday evening near S 167th Ave and Canyon Trails Blvd, where a teenage driver fatally struck a pedestrian.

The incident, reported by 12 News, took place around 6 p.m. when the teen driver hit 25-year-old David Firth. Sadly pedestrian accidents are all too common in Phoenix and other major cities.

Emergency responders quickly arrived at the scene and transported Firth to a nearby hospital. Despite their efforts, Firth succumbed to his injuries.

In the aftermath of the collision, the teenage driver stayed at the scene and cooperated fully with the police.

Authorities from the Goodyear Police Department are currently conducting a thorough investigation to determine the circumstances surrounding the incident. Preliminary findings suggest that speed may have played a role in the tragic event.

The investigation remains ongoing as police work to piece together all the details. In some instances traffic camera footage might be available to help police piece together the details. Phoenix intersections are dangerous and so is Goodyear, Tucson, etc. Be cautious at any local intersections including  Cedarwood and 44th.

This unfortunate incident has undoubtedly brought sorrow to the community, highlighting the critical importance of road safety and the potential dangers of speeding.
